Heritage Grand Bakery Offering Takeaway Desserts and Special V Day Treats


Bryant Park’s French bakeshop, Heritage Grand Bakery, is offering sweet treats and breads, created specially for Valentine’s Day, that make an excellent gift for loved ones or a hack to top off dinner at home without a heavy lift. French Pastry Chef Damien Hergott has filled the bakery with individual Heart-Shaped Ispahan, Passion Fruit Cheesecake, and Chocolate Decadence. Heritage is also known for its bread-making techniques (they mill their flour on the premises) and will be showcasing a heart-shaped baguette special for the occasion. Their sister restaurant next door shares the same grain mill, implementing the same flours on-site throughout the bakery and restaurant. The Mediterranean-influenced dinner menu this year will boast Osso Buco for Two, Whole Fish for Two, and Baked Alaska on the restaurant sides.

Sushi Lab (320 E. 11th Street) in the East Village is honoring Valentine's Day with a special 16-course omakase menu! The experience, priced at $125 per person will include an array of delicious bites in a romantic setting. Amali (115 E. 60th St.) offers an exquisite Valentine's Day experience featuring a Champagne Flight as an optional add-on, presenting a 2oz tasting of three unique expressions of Champagne, including Champagne Jacquart 'Brut Mosaique,' Champagne de Villepin 'Blanc de Noirs,' and Veuve Clicquot 'Brut Rosé' for $45. The Prix Fixe menu, priced at $125 per person, is exclusively available on February 14th and serves as the sole offering, with all items later available as a la carte specials in the days and the weekend following the holiday. Fornino (849 Manhattan Ave.) in Greenpoint (only) will celebrate lovebirds between February 10th - 14th (minus Monday when they're closed but don't think that needs to be highlighted), with a special Valentine’s Day Pizza Love Kit. The kit is priced at $95 and includes an Imported Cheese and Fruit Plate, a Large Salad, Two Heart shaped Pizzas, Tiramisu, Chocolates, Strawberries and a bottle of red, white or bubbly. Start with a comforting Chicken Noodle Soup featuring chicken bone broth, miso ricotta stuffed tortellini, and scallion. For the second course, choose between Burrata with toasted ciabatta, Gochujang, olive oil, and smoked sea salt; Wintered Greens with candied pecans, manchego, and apple; or Schezuan Powdered Calamari with spiced tomato sauce and chive.
